Overview
The Overhaul Project is an active research initiative at the Distributed Protocol Research Group in the Department of Computer science of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The goal of the project is to minimize the costs of Internet content publication.
Current Work
Currently, we are working on developing solutions that can mitigate a flash crowd. Out proposed approach involves utilizing the collective resources of clients (that access the hot content) to reduce the load at the target server.
